To crack UPSC Prelims in 50 days you need a dedicated well-approached study plan, hard work and sincerity.
Here we present you a strategy on how to use these last 50 days of your Prelims preparation,
First of all, students need to go through the syllabus for every subject thoroughly. Notes making is very important. Take Notes for all the important details from the trusted study materials. Similarly note down everything you are yet to study. Make sure you noted down within two weeks from now so that you have nothing new to study for the last 30 days. The last 30 days are only meant for revision. Make sure you have completed all the important topics in all the subjects first. Focus most of the time on your revision. Start with those subjects which are difficult for you and practice the questions as much as you can.
Remember if you want to fly you need to leave the ground. Ignore some unproductive time eating things that you do regularly. Time management is very important in this crucial period.
You need to divide these days into two parts. First, the Days required for the static part. Second, the days required for the dynamic part. Prepare an ideal timetable for each part. Try to improve your strong areas.
Go through previous year question paper, model test papers/mock papers, practice papers and the likes. Take one mock test daily. If possible, try to solve subject-related papers like History question paper for 4 days, Economy paper for 4 days, and then allocate time for full mock test. It is really important that you go through your mistakes and get them corrected in the next mock without fail because then only the mock tests will be useful. Many aspirants try to remember the current affairs and struggle to complete it in a go.
50 days is sufficient time to go through current affairs and its revision properly. Plan it in such away. We would not suggest studying for Optional papers or any other exams. Even if you are so confident of clearing the prelims, it is better to stop everything and give this exam what is needed. Allocate time for CSAT. It is better to allocate at least 2 days to refresh and solve old question papers of CSAT.
Your whole focus should be on the preparations and avoid distractions of any sort. Do not waste time on anything that would stress you. Avoid things that distract you. Stay focused only on the exam. And one more important aspect for your preparations is that you avoid junk food, eat healthy. Sleep early and wake up early as exhausted mind will not help you retain what you have learned. Do not waste time on many toppers videos and motivational videos at this point.
May these best 50 days of your preparation make you cross through the first step in your UPSC dream.
